"Live Equivalent, Individual": Live class attended individually at a remote computer
(for "Group" scroll to bottom of this page.)

If you want to take one of our classes but cannot make it to a live class, or would just prefer to take the class from home or your office, this page will introduce you to the particulars and requirements for taking class successfully.
    Basic requirements:
  • High speed Internet DSL/Cable (not dialup)
  • Internet Explorer 6 / Mozilla FireFox 1.5 or higher.
  • You must have headphones or your computer must have working speakers.
  • Adobe Flash Player installed. (free)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 or higher installed. (free)
  • That's all!
You can go here, test your system and download the required software now!
(You may be required to disable your Firewall or AntiVirus protection program temporarily.)
This delivery has been approved for PE and CE.

It is still 'live,' however.

You have to attend at the given time, you must stay in the class for the duration, you must interact, just as if attending in person. During class there will be polls and practice exercises.

You will see streaming video of the trainer on the screen and the PowerPoint used during class. We provide a student manual and you are invited to take intensive notes. The manual is delivered to you ahead of time by PDF electronic format, which you can then print and use during class if you wish. Some people follow along on the screen with the manual and take notes. We also provide the service of mailing you a printed manual (shipping fees apply).

The experience will consist of:

w A real-time stream of the trainer teaching the course live. You will have a small video with clear audio.

w The PowerPoint slides the same as what the 'in-person' attendees see. The slides will advance automatically as the class moves forward.

w Your student manual. This is provided in PDF format. You can print it out or view it on screen. The PowerPoint display you will be viewing is contextual with what the trainer is saying, and every slide of the PowerPoint references the page number of the student manual. So, you always can find 'where we are' along the way. Pre-printed copies of the manual can be shipped to you ahead of class. There is a $15.00 cover charge for that service.

w Periodic exercises which will be fed to you via a link. Clicking on the link will open a new browser page with the exercises questions on it. These are the same practice exercises completed by the 'in-person' attendees.

w Polls and contact. Several times per hour, at random intervals, polls will appear on the screen. You must respond to these polls so we can certify that you are attending.

w Q and A. You will be able to ask questions of the trainer by typing them in. The facilitator will read your question during the question and answer periods. This is exactly the same protocol as experienced by the live 'in-person' attendees; we do not allow random questions during the 'exposition' portion of each section of content.

How to attend:

w Test it out. You can click here right now to download the software. You can also log into a class 30 minutes prior to start time.

w Watch for the link email. You will receive and email the evening before class date. Follow the instructions on the email and you will enter the class and be greeted. There is a small identity survey for you to fill out that takes only a few minutes.

w Give the class your attention. We suggest that you have your student manual open, either as a PDF open in your tray, or a hard copy on your desk, having printed it out. Some people take notes right in the manual, others on separate media. This class is packed! There is much to cover and at times we are flying along. The information is vital to you in general as a Mortgage Loan Officer. For Prelicensing students, you have the added urgency that the course is geared to cover, as thoroughly as possible, the material asked for on the NMLS National Test.

w Stay present. We are required by the SAFE Act and associated regulations to ascertain that you are actually there, attending the class and paying attention. There will be random polls popping up. They have a very short duration. If you do not respond to the poll it indicates you are not present. Within a reasonable but limited scope, if we determine you are not attending, we will expel you from the session and you will not receive credit hours. This policy is consistent with practice at in-person class. We provide frequent breaks and an hour for lunch in the middle of the day, so make plans to stay at the computer just as if you were attending in-person.

w Interact. You will not have voice contact with the class facilitator or the trainer. You may ask any questions you want, however. Type your questions into the chat box and the facilitator will either answer you directly or pose the question(s) to the trainer during regular Q and A time. The facilitator is your 'proxy' at live class and will represent you well.

After class:

After class we will send your Certificate of Completion to you via email.
We also report your credit hours to the appropriate regulatory agencies.

If you have any questions, hit "reply" on the email we send you confirming your registration and type your question at the top.
Our support line is: 888-341-7767

Thank you for reading this page thoroughly.
We look forward to an excellent experience with you in class.

"Live Equivalent, GROUP": Live class attended in a group at a remote computer.

You can set up group attendance in your office or elsewhere with only one computer receiving and displaying the stream of the class experience. Naturally, the size of the monitor or screen onto which you project the display must be adequate for the number of people attending.

An important aspect of this mode of attending live class: we are required by regulation to assure that a facilitator be present at your location for the duration of the class. This cannot be one of the attending students. It is permitted, however, that one of your employees serve as the remote facilitator. This person will interact with a facilitator at live class and must be present throughout the class day.

This modality must be arranged ahead of time. Please call 888-341-7767 and say "I'd like to set up Live Class Group Remote." You will be directed to one of our team members who will walk you through the sequence.
